Realisation of postage before delivery.
A postman is forbidden to deliver any article on which any postage or customs duty is due, or any sum is to be recovered (as in the case of a V.P. article) until the full amount to be recovered has been paid. He is not obliged to give change. If any unnecessary delay occurs in the payment by the addressee of the charges recoverable on an article, the postman is authorised to take the article back to the post office.
किसी डाकिए को कोई भी ऐसी वस्तु वितरित करने से मना किया जाता है जिस पर कोई डाक या सीमा शुल्क देय हो, या कोई राशि वसूल की जानी हो (जैसा कि वी.पी. वस्तु के मामले में) जब तक कि वसूली जाने वाली पूरी राशि का भुगतान नहीं कर दिया जाता है। वह परिवर्तन देने के लिए बाध्य नहीं है। यदि किसी वस्तु पर वसूले जाने वाले शुल्क के प्राप्तकर्ता द्वारा भुगतान में कोई अनावश्यक देरी होती है, तो डाकिया उस वस्तु को डाकघर में वापस ले जाने के लिए अधिकृत है।
